Located in the prestigious Paddington Central development 2 Kingdom Street is the new home of property management company Broadgate Estates (part of British Land). Magnus London provided interior design and planning for all open plan and private workspaces, meeting areas, reception, café, and 'The Hub' - a multi media facility with room for large group meetings and presentations. A total of 26,000 ft2 / 2,400m2.
Our aim for 2 Kingdom Street was to create a distinctive interior that felt good to work in and reflected the standing of Broadgate Estates in the property market. Natural stone flooring, split timber paneling and selective use of coloured glass partitioning were combined to create a feeling of subtle luxury.
A feature of the scheme is a 60 metre artwork designed to block the view of the A40 Motorway which runs along the entire Northern elevation, level with the client's floor plate. We also designed and commissioned bespoke furniture and rugs for the café and reception.
Broadgate Estates required the fit-out to comply with the BREEAM standards for sustainability in architecture and the project received the first ever 'Outstanding' rating (for a new office fit-out in the UK).
